Talking Points
See: www.yeson85.net/talkingpoints.aspx
This measure will protect our young daughters from adult male predators who use abortion to cover-up the evidence of statutory rape.
This is only parental notification, not consent.
Our young daughters cannot go on field trips, get their ears pierced, get a tattoo, or have dental work done without parental consent. Why is notice of an abortion on one’s young daughter, a much more invasive and life impacting surgical procedure, withheld from parents.
For girls living in abusive homes, there is a judicial bypass process whereby the requirement for parental notification is waived and the young girl is assisted by a judge to protect her from incurring further abuse in the home setting.
